BeatKhana! Tournament Rules and Regulations
1. Tournament Structure
BeatKhana! supports most common tournament formats, with a strong recommendation for double elimination brackets.
1.1 Match Settings
- There are no global settings that must be enforced across all tournaments.
- Roles should generally align with the following standard structure:
- Head Coordinator: Oversees the tournament.
- Head Caster: Lead commentator for matches.
- Head Map Pooler: Responsible for ensuring balanced map pools.
- Coordinator: Assists with tournament management.
- Caster: Provides live commentary.
- Map Pooler: Selects maps for play.
- Admin: BeatKhana! staff or developers with special access (not visible on the public staff list).
2. Map Pooling
- Map pools are unique to each tournament and selected by the tournament organisers and map poolers.
- Pools must be kept fair and should not favour a specific player’s skillset.
- BeatKhana! reserves the right to intervene in cases where fairness is compromised.
3. Fairness and Anti-Cheating Measures
- Tournament Assistant (TA) is highly recommended for fair play.
- Players must compete on their own accounts with no score-altering mods.
- BeatKhana! retains the right to investigate and take action against suspected cheating.
4. Staff Roles and Responsibilities
- Tournament staff are selected by the organiser.
- For affiliated tournaments, BeatKhana! may provide volunteer staff.
- Organisers must ensure their own staff and maintain fair practices.
5. Player Eligibility and Registration
- Eligibility criteria are set by the tournament organiser.
- Registration is free. BeatKhana! does not support payments for entries.
6. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes are handled by the tournament organiser and/or selected staff members.
- If disputes are mismanaged, BeatKhana! reserves the right to take down the tournament.
- Appeals processes are not guaranteed neither by the tournament organiser or BeatKhana!.
7. Technical Requirements
- VR is required for participation unless otherwise specified in tournament rules.
- Handling of technical issues is determined by individual tournament rules.
8. Scheduling and Coordination
- Match scheduling and attendance policies depend on the tournament.
- Penalties for lateness or no-shows are left to the discretion of the organiser.
9. Prizes and Rewards
- Prize structure and distribution are determined by the organiser.
- BeatKhana! is not responsible for prize handling.
- If prize distribution is deemed unfair, the right to create tournaments may be revoked.
10. Code of Conduct
- Players, staff, and spectators are expected to behave appropriately.
- Inappropriate behavior can result in tournament takedown or bans from future participation.
11. Health and Safety
- Tournament rules should include any necessary health and safety recommendations.
- Breaks and ergonomic guidelines are encouraged.
12. Data Privacy and Security
- Player data is handled according to BeatKhana!'s Privacy Policy.
- Streaming is recommended on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch.
13. Sponsorship and Advertising
- No restrictions on tournament sponsorships.
- Players and teams can display personal sponsors during matches.
14. Intellectual Property
- BeatKhana! reserves the right to take down any tournament-related material.
- Organisers forfeit the right to control saved content once a tournament is created on the platform.
- By default, all content use is allowed, but upon request, any content must be removed immediately.
- BeatKhana! must be credited but is not required to be on overlays or graphics.
15. Accessibility
- No formal accommodations currently exist.
- Organisers are encouraged to ensure inclusivity.
16. Sanctions and Penalties
- Violations can result in tournament removal or player penalties.
- Severe violations typically lead to permanent bans.
17. Feedback and Continuous Improvement
- Participants can provide feedback through direct contact with staff or support channels.
- Feedback must not be deleted or ignored.
- Organisers are responsible for using feedback to improve future events.
- BeatKhana! will improve systems where possible if platform-related issues arise.
