BeatKhana! Staff Regulations
1. Introduction
This document outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and regulations for all staff members involved in BeatKhana! tournaments. Staff members are expected to uphold the integrity of the platform and ensure fair and smooth tournament operations.
2. Staff Roles and Responsibilities
Each tournament must maintain a clear and structured staff hierarchy. The standard roles include:
- Head Coordinator: Oversees all aspects of the tournament and ensures all staff are fulfilling their roles appropriately.
- Head Caster: Manages casting assignments and ensures streams and commentary maintain professional quality.
- Head Map Pooler: Ensures fair and balanced map selection that does not favour specific players.
- Coordinator: Assists in general tournament management and scheduling.
- Caster: Provides live commentary and contributes to an engaging viewer experience.
- Map Pooler: Selects maps that align with tournament standards and fairness policies.
- Admin: BeatKhana! staff or developers with special permissions, not visible on the public staff list but required for backend support.
3. Staff Conduct and Impartiality
All staff members must adhere to the following guidelines to ensure fair tournament operations:
- Staff must remain impartial and avoid any conflicts of interest.
- Staff should not engage in favouritism, bias, or actions that could unfairly influence the outcome of a tournament.
- Any staff member found violating impartiality may be removed from their position and face further restrictions.
- Staff must use common sense and fairness in all decisions.
- Staff should communicate clearly and respectfully with all participants and fellow staff members.
4. Access to Participant Data
- Tournament organisers and staff do not have access to participants' email addresses directly.
- If required for verification purposes, staff members may only see the domain of the email address (e.g.,
@gmail.com,@hotmail.com). - Any attempt to obtain or misuse private user information will result in immediate removal from staff roles and further consequences.
5. Tournament Management and Fair Play
- Staff must ensure all tournament matches follow the specified rules and are conducted fairly.
- Tournament Assistant (TA) is strongly recommended to prevent cheating and ensure accurate results.
- If a dispute arises, staff must handle it professionally and escalate to the Head Coordinator if necessary.
- BeatKhana! reserves the right to intervene in any tournament where fairness is compromised.
6. Handling Disputes and Rule Violations
- Disputes between players or between players and staff should be resolved internally by the tournament staff first.
- If a dispute is mishandled, BeatKhana! has the authority to take action, including tournament removal.
- Decisions must be documented and justified to maintain transparency.
- If necessary, an appeal process should be outlined by the tournament organiser.
7. Streaming and Content Management
- Streaming is encouraged but not mandatory.
- If streamed, staff must ensure that all commentary is appropriate and professional.
- BeatKhana! reserves the right to remove any tournament-related content if deemed necessary.
8. Staff Removal and Consequences
A staff member may be removed from their position for:
- Violating impartiality or engaging in biased behavior.
- Misusing player data or accessing restricted information.
- Failing to perform their assigned duties properly.
- Engaging in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct.
- Ignoring or deleting legitimate tournament feedback from participants.
9. Feedback and Improvement
- Staff should be open to constructive feedback from players and fellow staff members.
- Feedback should not be ignored or removed unless it violates general conduct rules.
- Improvements to tournament procedures should be implemented based on feedback where applicable.
10. Final Authority
- !retains the right to override any decision made by tournament staff if it is deemed unfair or inappropriate.
- The platform reserves the right to ban or restrict staff members who violate regulations.
- Common sense should be applied in all decision-making processes.
