Badges and awards

Badge providers and requests, nominations, voting, live management, winners and integrity controls.

Badges

Badges attach recognisable achievements or provider-backed identities to user profiles. Users can submit supported badge requests; authorized staff review provider data and the request before approval. Administrative surfaces manage badge providers and request records.

Do not award a badge solely from a screenshot when a provider can be verified. Badge imagery and names are public-facing media and must follow asset/IP rules. Revocation should preserve an administrative reason.

Awards lifecycle

BeatKhana award surfaces support nomination, voting, viewing results, published winners and event-specific live vote management. Nominations and votes are separate records; global vote permissions govern privileged visibility/management.

Before opening voting, freeze categories, eligibility and duplicate-account rules. During a live vote, limit management access and do not expose partial results unless the format promises it. After close, verify tallies before publishing winners.

Separation from tournaments

Awards and badges can reference community achievement, but they do not modify match results, qualification, seeds or tournament permissions. Tournament prizes remain the organiser's responsibility and are not distributed by the awards module.
