Timeline and public pages
Publish milestones and decide which tournament information participants and viewers can discover.
Timeline events
Each event has a date/time, title, icon and description. The editor uses the organiser's local timezone and includes a public preview. Create events for registration open/close, qualifier start/end, roster lock, bracket publication, check-in, stages, finals and awards. Keep them chronological and use descriptions for timezone or action details—not private staff notes.
Editing the timeline changes public communication; it does not schedule TA rooms, matches, streams or registration by itself. Configure those systems separately and keep their timestamps aligned.
Public tournament surface
The public tournament detail can expose overview, rules, staff, teams, registration/qualification, brackets, map pools and timeline according to page toggles and data availability. Tournament visibility/lifecycle determines discovery; page toggles determine detail presentation.
Before visibility review, open the public view as a logged-out user and verify artwork crops, links, markdown, empty tabs, dates/timezones, team privacy, bracket readability and mobile behavior. Do the same after publishing pools or bracket results.
Calendar and status
Calendar entries are queried over a bounded range and derive from event/tournament data. upcoming and ongoing communicate lifecycle, but calendar milestones need explicit, accurate timestamps. When postponing, update the timeline, affected matches and external announcements together.
